COUNCIL OF ELDERS OFFICIALS
The duties of the
Assistant Chair shall be the same as those of the Chair, in the
absence of the Chair and/or as assigned by the Chair.
The Secretary shall be responsible for recording proceeding of all Council of Elders meetings and forwarding copy of such meetings to the UFCCM Presiding Prelate, the Chair of the Council of Elders, all officers and members of the Council of Elders. The Secretary shall appear in person and shall be responsible for presenting an Annual report, approved by the Chair of the Council of Elders to the Annual Conference.
The duties of the Assistant Secretary shall be the same as those of the Secretary, in the absence of the Secretary. May also at time be asked to fill in in the absence of any other official.
The Chaplain is a seasoned spiritual leader "one of trust" that shall perform sacred duties within the Council and those duties assigned to him/her by the Chair of the Council of Elders. Whenever needed and/or requested, the chaplain will pray with and encourage members in spiritual matters at their level of ministry. When needed and/or requested, recommendations can be made on the behalf of an Elder for more intimate support. The Chaplain is available to all "Member" Elders. The Chaplin is a person who counts it an honor and a privilege to facilitate continued spiritual growth.
The Treasurer shall be responsible for receiving all assessments duly agreed upon by the Council of Elders, maintaining a written record of such assessments and forwarding all monies received to the Office of the UFCCM Secretary General. Upon the advice and instruction of the Chair of the Council of Elders, the Treasurer shall be responsible for making all requests on behalf of the Council of Elders to the UFCCM Secretary General.
